AVIF or WebP?
AVIF is a new, very small image format. Many apps and upload forms do not accept it yet. WebP is Google's web image format. Browsers love it, but some editors, printers and upload forms still reject it.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Pixfit runs inside your browser tab. The images are read, changed and saved on your own device; nothing is sent to a server.
Does converting AVIF to WebP lose quality?
Saving to PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP at 90% quality look identical to the eye; lower it only if you need smaller files.
Is the photo date and location kept?
No. Pixfit writes a clean file without EXIF metadata, which also removes the GPS location of the photo.
