Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Pixfit runs inside your browser tab. The images are read, changed and saved on your own device; nothing is sent to a server.
How does Pixfit hit an exact KB size?
It searches for the highest JPG or WebP quality that still fits under your limit. If even low quality is too big, it reduces the pixel size step by step until the file fits.
Why does a PNG become a JPG?
PNG is lossless and has no quality setting, so it cannot be squeezed to a target size. JPG keeps photos looking the same at a fraction of the size.
Is there a file count or size limit?
No. The only limit is your device's memory; very large photos (50+ megapixels) can take a few seconds each.
